In assembling an internally illuminated sign, VHB tape bonds a translucent polycarbonate sheet to a metal framework. As temperatures change, VHB tape tolerates lateral expansion up to 3X its own thickness, compensating for the expansion in the polycarbonate.

Fast, easy bonding.

Assembling traffic signs with VHB tapes help save time and work in riveting sign panels to stiffeners. The surface is smooth with no rivet heads for visual distraction.

 

 

Distributes stress, eliminates distortion.

In the manufacture of large panel signs, the aluminium sheet is bonded continuously along the sitffener channels. Stresses are distributed evenly resulting in a high performance join without distortion.
